In my opinion this picture needs more lights and shadows. I think with the use of the textures you made it too bright that this picture is a bit too flat in the end and there are some details lost I really wanted to see like the face or the wings. And I am not sure but I think there is a second wing needed.
Thats also the reason why I cannot say much about the blendings and the cut-out of the stocks. But it seems to be great done!
But as I told in the first sentence. The concept is interesting and I feel the coldness. Thats perfect and I think you made a great job here.
